Universal Pulp and Paper (Shandong) Company Limited is a large scale Sino-foreign equity joint venture established by Samson Group in 2008 based on the acquisition of Shandong Huazhong (Huacai) Paper Company Limited. Samson Group is the only listed company in Hong Kong with more than 45 years of history that enjoys synergies from vertical integration of paper trading and paper manufacturing business, and is now one of the largest paper trading firms in China and Hong Kong. Samsons paper trading business primarily provides book printing paper and packaging boards through its extensive sales network which covers over 20 cities in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and other Asian countries.

Univeral Pulp and Papers (UPP) primary products are high-end coated duplex board, high strength kraftliner and testliner boards. We currently operate 3 paper machines capable of an annual capacity of 400,000 metric tons, and in addition, we own a power plant and an effluent treatment facility with a daily processing capacity of 30,000m³.
